Purpose:
: We describe an Intrastromal corneal graft surgery (ISCG) technique in keratoconic eyes.
Methods:
In this novel technique, we utilize femtosecond laser to create a desirable corneal lenticule with precise diameter, depth and shape as well as an intrastromal pocket
Results:
Highly irregular shape of the cornea in advanced keratoconus quiet remains as a main problem using other techniques. In contrast, our technique enables correcting irregularity as well as instability and refractive errors.
Conclusion:
This technique provides a minimally invasive way to treat keratoconic eyes with highly irregular cornea. Moreover, the technique can be performed easily and appears safe, effective and reversible
