Photo and Film Festival
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but the pictures taken by ophthalmologists convey much more than artistic expression.
Photo and film festival is getting popular in Iranian ophthalmology congress. This festival has started Four years ago and the quality is getting better every year.
We hope that the fourth year will be better considering past three years of experience.
Film competition
Enthusiasts may attend in the competition by sending surgery videos or other related subjects to ophthalmology to the secretariat of the congress.
Competition conditions
1. participants should be an ophthalmology society member(ophthalmologists and residents)
2. Participants should register in the congress before sending their works.
3. There is no limitation as with the number of artworks.
4. video specification :
-Subject: ophthalmology and visual
-Duration: maximum 5 minutes
-Film format: AVI or MPG format
-Presentation format: on CD or DVD
5-works will be judged in terms of scientific and technical aspects (effective narration, using different cameras and animation with respect to time limitations).
6-if the jury does not qualify the video technically, it will not be accepted in the competition.
7-all works should be received by the congress secretariat before 22nd September 2017.
8-the selected works to be presented in the video journal, will be announced until 14th October 2017.
9-the selected works in the video journal congress will be aired with the explanation of the producer.
10-the first three winners will be announced in the congress and will be awarded precious presents.

Photo competition
Enthusiasts should send the ophthalmology related photos to the secretariat of the congress.
Competition conditions:
1-participants should be an ophthalmology society member (ophthalmologists and residents).
2- Participants should register in the congress before sending works.
3-condition for judging the pictures:
Photos should be presented in A4 format or photo print papers with high quality.
The dimensions of the photo prints should be 20 x 30 cm.
The hard copy of photos will not be accepted.
4-each participant can send five photos maximum.
5-works should be delivered to the congress secretariat until 22nd September 2017.
6--if the jury does not qualify the video technically, it will not be accepted in the competition.
7-the selected works to be exhibited, will be announced till 14th October 2017.
8-the selected works are required to be printed on photo paper and put on the 50 x 70 cm wood board and delivered to the congress secretariat until 1st November 2017.
9-the works will be returned to the participants after the exhibition.
10- The first three winners will be announced in the congress and will be awarded precious presents.
