Purpose:
|
To evaluate the safety and efficacy of Cxl in advanced keratoconus
|
|
Methods:
|
In this interventional case series 30 eyes of 26 patient with advanced progressive keratoconus were enrolled.UDVA,CDVA,Kmax, Kmean,corneal astigmatism and thinnest point thickness were evaluated before CXL and 12 month postoperatively
|
|
Results:
|
Mean patient age was 23.51 (range 18 to 34).UDVA(logMAR) increased from 0.728 to 0.507 (P=0.018).CDVA,Kmax,Kmean,corneal astigmatism and thinnest point thickness did not change significantly(P> 0.1 for all). No clinically significant complication was seen during the study period.

Conclusion:
|
CXL is a safe and efficient procedure for disease stabilization in progressive advanced keratoconus.
